Central Bank revised post-authorisation procedures effective 9 December 2019

The Central Bank of Ireland contacted Irish Funds to advise of efficiencies being introduced to the Central Bank's post-authorisation process for UCITS and RIAIFs. Irish Funds sent a regulatory update about the Central Bank changes to its members on 2 December 2019.

The Central Bank reviewed its post-authorisation processes for UCITS and RIAIF umbrella and sub-fund applications and identified areas for improvement. The process will move from hard copy to soft copy.

From 9  December 2019, all UCITS and RIAIF post-authorisation submissions should be sent by email to fundspostauthorisations@centralbank.ie.

All changes to fund documentation requiring review by the Central Bank should be submitted for review. Any subsequent updates to the submission will result in a delay issuing comments.

Amendments to documents previously filed with the Central Bank and not subject to review must be submitted and accompanied with the relevant section(s) of the UCITS application form and appropriate confirmation. These documents should be filed with the Central Bank by 12 noon.  You should contact your usual contact in the A&L Goodbody Asset Management & Investment Funds team for advice about what changes are subject to review and what changes are not subject to review.
