The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform recently published the General Scheme of the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Bill. It is intended that the Bill will transpose the EU Whistleblowing Directive into Irish law before the end of this year. While Ireland already has one of the strongest regimes of whistleblower protection in the EU, there are nonetheless some significant changes on the horizon.
