Beneficial Ownership filings for ICAVs and Unit Trusts

The Central Bank of Ireland confirmed that they will be responsible for establishing the Central Beneficial Ownership Register in respect of Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicles (ICAVs) and Unit Trust Schemes registered under the Unit Trusts Act 2015 (Unit Trusts). They have provided an outline of likely timings for filings that will be required from ICAVs and Unit Trusts.

A&L Goodbody are well placed to advise and assist ICAVs and Unit Trust structures on compliance with their obligations to maintain and file information on beneficial ownership, having helped many companies through the process in 2019. We look at timing and expected developments here.
