COVID-19: Remote courts - what to expect

The Irish Courts Service has responded quickly to the COVID-19 crisis, with accelerated rollout of remote hearings and other arrangements being put in place to ensure the continued administration of justice. There will be a learning curve for the judiciary, practitioners and litigants alike as these new processes are implemented. ALG's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team is monitoring these developments closely.

In this article we look at the key developments in Ireland, experiences in other jurisdictions and provide practical advice for the efficient and effective conduct of remote hearings.
