New Practice Direction Issued for Licensing Applications in the Dublin District Court

The Dublin District Court Office has issued a new Practice Direction for licensing applications.

Going forward, and until further notice, the following changes have been introduced:

  1. An ex parte docket must now be filed in the Dublin District Court Office with all licensing applications. This will help the court to manage the number of people expected to be in the courtroom at any one time;

  2. Evidence of how an applicant intends to comply with COVID-19 regulations must be filed for all relevant applications e.g. applications for new restaurant certificates. That evidence can be included on the plans by showing for example, revised seating arrangements, distance between tables, one way entry and exit systems etc.
